On the morning of the St. Jude's Day storm, Mawgan Porth was calm enough for Brian to plough on with the start of The Project. The golf hut has been part of Mawgan Porth for as long as most of us can remember - in the 70s, I used to peer over the counter with a typewritten note from my grandfather, Phil Wailes, that promised the bearer a free game for each day of the summer holidays. So we're sad to see the hut go, but we hope that the new building will echo the old one, and will come to be viewed as fondly. And there will always be crazy golf.
